- Please tell me how thing went and how you felt about the activities. Please feel free to give suggestions.
i think it was a great idea to have us make a resume and an "im a great teacher" handout. i think it allows the student to reflect on the positive aspects of their being rather than stress over the bad stuff.

- How did you feel about creating a brochure this week?
i had fun with it. it was like i was complimenting myself for a grade

- Is there any muddy point that you need to review?
no, i dont believe so.

- How do you feel about Desktop Publishing? We have created a brochure and a resume. What else do you think we can do with Desktop Publishing? If you have to create one thing for your classroom, what would you create by using Publishing and why?
i am ALL FOR desktop publishing. i think it provides an easy professional layout easily used by many. i would get my classes to create fliers about something they're interested in. i think this program gives alot of choice. yay Desktop Publishing.

Please tell me how your PPT project is going. What topic have you chosen? How do you feel about your partner? Does your partner help you work faster and better than working alone?

our powerpoint is going great- well it went great anyway. we chose intergrating technology into the classroom and it was alot of fun having tanner to help out with ideas. i liked my partner alot because he had alot of great ideas and he was nice and all. and yes, id rather work with tanner than alone.

video games and other crap

How far should educators go in matching the technology used in instruction and classroom activities to the technology their students use?
-that varies, the technology their students are using are already known to the instructor. so they dont need to go very far if they should go anywhere at all.

Are online chats and instant messaging of value in the classroom? Do they add to student learning, or do they distract from “real” instruction?
-that also depends on the ages of the students. for college level students it would be very helpful. however in a middleschool environment it would be very distracting.

Are there benefits to asynchronous, text-based communication over synchronous, face-to-face communication? In what situations?
-i dont believe there are in teacher student conversation, those should be face to face. but for student to student- that would be great.

Does using podcasts with students really enhance learning, or is it simply a newer version of passively delivering information?
-simply a new version of passivly "dilivering" information. however its not often any information is actually retained.

Does videogame help develop your studying? Why or why not? Explain. What skills can you gain from it? Do you agree with the article? If you have children, would you let them play videogame every day? Why/why not?
-i do belive video games help alot, but ive always been a gamer. they teach you tactical skills, communication skills, reaction, accuracy, and they also expand your mind since your stratigizing the whole time. contrary to what most may think, it takes alot of concentration to play and succeed at video games.
